- Cost?
$50 per student for 6 weeks of programming. - Where is JAM held?
In the past, we have partnered with Brenham ISD to hold our events in one of the elementary schools. For 2023, we will be meeting at Krause Elementary. - Do I have to drop off and pick up my children?
We partner with the Durham Bus Service for those who need it. - What about snacks and meals?
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students. Children are encouraged to eat their meals, but never forced. - What days and times does JAM run?
JAM runs Monday through Friday 7:30am-12:30pm typically from the first Monday in June through the second Friday in July. Please watch the website and our Social Media pages for specific details. - What does a typical day look like?
The day will begin with Breakfast. Throughout the day there will be summer learning (in conjunction with the BISD), Big Group time, Small Group time, Lunch, various activities and weekly field trips. - What kind of field trips?
In the past, we have visited Mr. Gatti’s, The Bluebell Aquatic Center, and even some locations in Houston! - Will staff be trained in CPR? Basic First Aid?
Yes. All staff will be trained in Basic First Aid and infant, child and adult CPR with AED use by Washington County Emergency Services. - What if my child has to take a medication during the day?
JAM staff will not administer prescription or over the counter (Advil, Benadryl, etc) medications. If your child needs a medication during his/her time with us, we will contact the parent/guardian to come administer it. The exception to this is a rescue inhaler for asthma. In this case, the child must carry it at all times and be able to use it on their own. In the event of an emergency, EMS will be called. - Where can I sign up?
