- What is BLAST?
BLAST (Brenham Leadership and Spiritual Training) is an after-school biblical leadership program that emphasizes spiritual training and leadership. We collaborate with different groups and individuals in the community for providing enrichment activities and tutoring. We provide a snack each day. In the past, we’ve met Mondays-Thursdays following the BISD Schedule.
- What kinds of enrichment opportunities will the students have?
We are looking to provide students with art, music, dance, and sports enrichment opportunities and are open to any other opportunities that may arise.
- How can I get involved?
BLAST has various physical needs including snack donations to feed the students each day, educational materials for enrichment, and financial funding. We are also in need of mentors, which are volunteers from the community. These mentors will be paired up with a student, to meet with them each week, help with homework and simply develop relationship with them.
- What will financial donations go towards?
Our main costs include paying for Educational Instructor’s stipends, t-shirts for staff uniforms, student and parent program t-shirts, educational materials, field trips, Christmas Celebrations, and an End-of-Year Celebration.
- 2023 and Beyond
While BLAST has been on a break for the 2022-23 school year, we look forward to it’s return for the 2023-24 school year. Keep checking back here and on our social media accounts for updates!
